Film Reels

If you have old film reels, we can also arrange for those to be converted as well. We charge based on the length of the reel. Damaged reels requiring splicing may incur additional fees.

• 201-400 ft Reel: $200.00/reel

• 401-2000 ft Reel: $230.00/reel

Audio Cassettes

Have precious audio recordings of family on audio cassettes? We can convert cassettes to MP3 or WAV files (or other file types if desired).

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to bring my own USB memory device? How much space do I need for my converted files?

No you don't! We have a range of USB flash drives and external HDDs available in-store. And we'll waive the transfer fee if you buy one from us!

If you'd like to supply your own USB storage device, please ensure you have the following minimum storage available on your device (note that these are just general indications, and will ultimately depend on several factors, e.g. your desired file type and quality, recording length, etc):

• Video cassettes: ~4GB/tape

• Audio cassettes: ~1GB/tape

• Discs: ~1GB/CD, or ~10GB/DVD (dual-layer)

• Reels: dependent on reel length

How long will it take for you to convert my media?

The time takes to complete conversions depend on how many tapes you need converted, the condition of the tapes (e.g. mold damage), and other jobs in our queue. Please contact us to discuss timeframes if you have a specific deadline you need to meet.

Will you keep a copy of my converted media on file if I want them again?

After we transfer your files to the disc or USB storage device, we do not keep a copy of your converted videos or audio. Please ensure that you take care of your converted media, and we highly recommend that you make backup copies to prevent losing them (especially if you're planning to dispose of the original tapes/reels afterwards).

What if I'm not happy with the result of my conversion?
