Our Epson large-format printer at Lazer Photos & Cameras is capable of high-quality printing all the way up to A0! We have several grades of photographic & art paper available so that we can cater to your printing requirements.

Semi-Gloss

180 gsm semi-gloss photographic paper

Our standard paper grade is ideal for smaller-scale prints, or as an economic option for posters and displays. This grade may be more desirable for those seeking vibrant, rich colours and high constrast in their prints.

IDEAL FOR: Photographs, digital art prints, posters, and many media.

Up to A2: $39.00/ea

Up to A1: $59.00/ea

Up to A0: $79.00/ea

Matte

250 gsm matte photographic paper

A thicker-grade paper which has a less glossy finish than our standard photographic paper. This grade may be more desirable for those wanting an easy-to-handle paper (with a lower risk of visible scratching or fingerprints), are planning to display the print in an area with strong lights (being less reflective), or are wanting to frame very large prints (as the thicker paper tends to support its own weight better).

IDEAL FOR: Photographs, digital and traditional art prints.

Up to A2: $69.00/ea

Up to A1: $89.00/ea

Up to A0: $149.00/ea

Fine Art

310 gsm textured cotton rag

A thick, premium textured cotton rag paper with a matte surface. This grade is ideal for reproductions of traditional fine art prints, or for those seeking a gorgeous matte finish to their photographic prints.

IDEAL FOR: Photographs, traditional art prints.

Up to A3: $60.00/ea

Up to A2: $90.00/ea

Up to A1: $140.00/ea

Not currently available for prints wider than 24 inches on the shortest side.

Frequently Asked Questions

What paper should I choose - matte or semi-gloss?

This will depend on a few things, as each type has trade-offs to keep in mind. Things to consider include: where you'll display it, how it will be displayed, how far away viewers will be from the display, and the image itself (the tones, contrast, and colours).

Our semi-gloss paper produces great colour vibrancy and contrast, but the sheen may reflect undesirably in areas of strong ambient light. On the other hand, the matte paper can produce a somewhat less vibrant and 'flatter' appearance, but will typically look clearer and better in large glass-framed prints and in areas of harsh light.

What are the requirements for the files?

For optimal quality, have the print file prepared as a high-quality JPG, PNG, PDF, or TIF file set to your desired dimensions at a resolution of at least 300 dpi. Our team is happy to size up prints for you if you provide the dimensions, but please ensure your file is large enough to be enlarged to the print size without a loss in quality or clarify.

How should I handle my prints?

Prints, particularly our semi-gloss prints, are delicate and require special care when handling. We recommend using gloves when handling prints and laying the prints on a flat surface to avoid fingerprints or dents. We are happy to frame prints for you!
