When it comes to frames, quality really does matter. Sure, you can easily get cheap frames these days from many department stores - but often, corners are cut to bring those prices down.
Typically, these cheap frames are made from MDF fibreboard. Lower quality boards can be subject to swelling & damage from water exposure. Larger frames are also often made with acrylic instead of actual glass. While it may result in a more lightweight frame, it can also be more prone to scratching. Lower quality acrylic can also warp or bow in hot conditions.
Our range of wooden frames are supplied by Harrison Frames in Tauranga, New Zealand. Their frames are made from plantation radiata pine timber, which is durable and strong. And all frames use real glass - and we can even create custom options with non-reflective and UV-resistant glass as well.
