• ISO explained - High ISO positives and Negatives

• DOF - Depth of Field

• Your built in flash / Add on flash guns / Flash Modes / LED Lights / Fill Flash

and the benefits of off camera flash (Practical)

Course Length: 6 weeks (1 session/week)

The Capture with Confidence course is the ideal next step for those who have finished the Discover Photography course. The course is also great for hobbyists who are comfortable with the basics & want to deepen their technical knowledge, and test their skills with practical opportunities.

Course Content:

• Metering Modes (Matrix, Centre and Spot)

• Focusing Modes / Using focal points / Focusing your camera / Pre-focusing

• Over-coming lens issues (vignetting, distortion, fringing)

• Exposure Compensation and Bracketing

• Colour Spaces and White Balance

• Understanding Histograms

• File Formats and Raw conversion explained

• Benefits of showcasing / printing your photographs

Practical sessions & fieldtrips:

• Learning composition (practical & theory)

• Landscape photography (practical)

• Portraiture photography (practical)

• Night photography (practical)

Course Length: 6 weeks (1 session/week)

Session Length: 1.5 hours (6:00-7:30pm, unless otherwise advised)
